Country-related cooperation programme with Colombia (COLFUTURO - Fundación para el Futuro de Colombia) Promotion

This scholarship programme provides grants for highly qualified Colombian graduates to complete doctoral degrees at German universities. The funding is co-sponsored by COLFUTURO and DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst). Graduates receive comprehensive support including intensive German language courses in Germany (up to 6 months for doctoral candidates), travel costs, monthly scholarship payments, health insurance coverage, and various allowances. The programme is specifically designed for Colombian nationals who have completed a master's degree or equivalent qualification at the time of application. The scholarship is awarded for one year initially, with opportunities to apply for extensions reviewed by the DAAD selection committee.
