About this opportunity
The Cowrie Scholarship Foundation (CSF) offers a scholarship to support Black African and Caribbean heritage applicants from socio-economically under-represented backgrounds. Applicants must be ordinarily resident in the UK and commencing undergraduate study in the academic year 2025/2026. This scholarship is a fee-waiver, meaning the successful applicant's tuition fees will be covered and £8,000 will be provided each academic year to support with maintenance for up to three years of study. The Cowrie Scholarship Foundation wants to fund over 100 talented disadvantaged Black British students through UK universities in the next decade. The scholarship is tenable for the duration of the programme of study, subject to satisfactory progression. Applicants must identify as belonging to Black or Black British – Caribbean, Black or Black British – African, Mixed – White and Black Caribbean, Mixed – White and Black African, or Other Black background ethnic groups, and must have a household income of £25,000 per annum or less.
