About This Opportunity

The Cox Access Scholarship allows hard-working, nontraditional Indiana residents with financial need that are academically strong an opportunity to return to school to build on their academic experience and complete their degree. Selected Cox Access Scholars engage in meaningful work experiences with departments, offices, or faculty members at IU Bloomington, working 10 to 12 hours each week during fall and spring semesters. Scholars participate in career preparation and development programs, as well as career and personal assessments. The scholarship is renewable for a total of four years (eight semesters) and provides comprehensive support to help nontraditional students complete their first baccalaureate degree. All newly awarded Cox Scholars are required to participate in Camp Cox, a five-day immersive leadership development experience held at Bradford Woods in late July.
