Cregganconroe Community Benefit Fund

The Cregganconroe Community Benefit Fund provides grants to support community projects within a 6-mile radius of a wind farm in Northern Ireland. The fund prioritizes programmes that address marginalisation and tackle rural isolation, with particular emphasis on maximizing community space. Activities specifically aimed at children, young people, and older people are encouraged, including provision of local educational classes, training courses, health related initiatives, and arts and cultural activities. Projects designed to improve and develop local environmental schemes are also eligible for funding. Priority is given to beneficiaries within the Pomeroy area given their close proximity to the wind farm. The fund particularly supports projects that encourage greater cross community interaction at a local level with a focus on improving relations between nationalist and unionist communities in the area.
