Croatian Travel Awards

Travel funds, valued at up to $1,500, are available for undergraduate and/or graduate students registered at the University of Waterloo who participate in a recognized Croatian language or cultural study abroad program, an exchange program, or an approved co-op term in Croatia. Selection will be based on a statement describing their intended Croatian experience and why they hope to receive this funding. Applications will be considered twice annually, with deadlines on March 15 and November 15 for travel taking place between May 1 of that year and April 30 of the following year. The awards will be adjudicated jointly between Student Awards & Financial Aid/Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs and a designated representative of the Department of Germanic and Slavic Studies based on the application and statement of intent. Students are encouraged to submit a one-page report one month after their return from Croatia.
