About This Opportunity

The CSC-UQ PhD Scholarship is a partnership between the China Scholarship Council and The University of Queensland for Chinese citizens pursuing doctoral research. Successful applicants who are offered a place in the University's PhD program and are supported by their School receive a comprehensive funding package. The scholarship provides a living allowance, health insurance in Australia, one return airfare from China to Australia, Australian Student Visa application fees, and a UQ tuition fee scholarship for up to four years. Recipients also receive a living allowance top-up to the standard UQ RTP stipend rate provided by their proposed advisor. This scholarship is open to both future PhD students and current students in the first year of their PhD who meet PhD entry requirements and have a financial commitment from their proposed advisor to provide the living stipend top-up. Applicants must apply through a two-step process: first receiving a provisional offer from UQ, then applying separately to the CSC directly.
