About this opportunity
The CSIRO Indigenous STEM Scholarship is established to support and encourage Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students undertaking a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) course at Curtin University. The scholarship is sponsored by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), Australia's national science research agency, dedicated to conducting innovative research and scientific exploration. The scholarship provides financial support for the normal expected remaining duration of the course based on full-time enrolment, offering a cash stipend per semester that can be used at the recipient's discretion for education-related expenses. Recipients may also benefit from mentoring, research assistance, and work-integrated learning opportunities with CSIRO. The scholarship aims to foster Indigenous participation in STEM fields and support academic excellence among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degrees in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics disciplines.
