About this opportunity
Cork University Business School (CUBS) is offering PhD scholarships to commence in October 2025. These scholarships are open to both Home/EU and international students and will cover fees (EU/non-EU) and a monthly stipend for a 4-year period. The scholarship supports research in areas including Sustainable Food Systems, Social and Co-operative Economy, Sustainable Rural Development and Social Enterprise, and Food Security and International Development. Recipients are expected to actively contribute to the progression of their project and professional development by engaging in scholarly activities, including conference presentations and submissions to high-impact peer-reviewed journals. The scholarship includes EU fees plus a €25,000 stipend, with a fee-waiver for the non-EU portion applied if a non-EU candidate is selected. Applicants must meet PhD entry requirements including minimum English language requirements and must have obtained at least Second Class Honours, Grade I in a relevant Masters degree.
