CW Carry Steel Structures Design Award

The CW Carry Steel Structures Design Award is presented to the best design project team in Structural Design III (CIV E 479) at the University of Alberta's Faculty of Engineering. This award recognizes exceptional student work that demonstrates innovative and creative design applied to practical engineering problems. Recipients are selected based on three key criteria: their application of innovative and creative design approaches to practical engineering challenges, their use of fundamental engineering principles to solve real-world problems, and their selection of practical, economical, and feasible materials and manufacturing processes. The selection is made following team presentations in the CIV E 479 course. The award is funded through endowed funds from the CW Carry Chair program and is available to continuing and convocating students within the Faculty of Engineering.
