Cynthia Howland Environmental Science Bursary

The Cynthia Howland Environmental Science Bursary is a study support bursary for full-time undergraduate students enrolled in second-year Bachelor of Environmental Science at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Offered for the first time in Semester 2, 2019, this bursary was donated by Cynthia Howland to support Environmental Science students at UniSC. Two bursaries are awarded annually, each with a total value of up to A$2,500. The bursary is paid in eight fortnightly instalments of A$312.50 throughout the study period. Selection is based on financial need, hours worked in paid employment or commitment to activities that impact on study time (such as compulsory fieldwork placement or significant carer responsibilities), and academic merit. This bursary is offered on a yearly basis through funds provided by an external donor, and if funding is not available in any given year, the bursary will not be awarded.
