About This Opportunity

Mrs Shirley Cruickshank has donated an initial sum of $21,000 to The University of Western Australia to establish a fund to provide a scholarship for a meritorious young Indigenous woman who is experiencing financial hardship, to encourage her to pursue a full-time undergraduate degree course at the University. This scholarship is specifically for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander female students residing in Western Australia who are under 21 years of age and commencing their undergraduate studies. The scholarship provides approximately $15,000 total over 1 year to support full-time study at UWA. Academic achievement is determined by the applicant's ATAR or equivalent, and preference may be given to students from Presbyterian Ladies' College (PLC). The scholarship may be held concurrently with other scholarships except industry-funded ones.
