DAAD Scholarship Database

The DAAD Scholarship Database is a comprehensive searchable platform offering information on various kinds of DAAD funding opportunities for students, graduates, doctoral candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and faculty members. The database enables applicants from the United States and other countries to find scholarships for study, research, doctoral programs, teaching positions, internships, and language courses in Germany. The database currently features 87 funding options that can be filtered by applicant status (students, graduates, PhD students, PhD holders, lecturers), scholarship purpose (research, doctorate, teaching, internship, language course, study), and academic subject area including medicine, engineering, arts, natural sciences, law, economics, social sciences, language and cultural studies, and more. Programs range from Study Scholarships for Master's degrees to Research Grants, Bi-nationally Supervised Doctoral Degrees (Cotutelle), Graduate School Scholarship Programmes (GSSP), and Study Visits for Academics including artists and architects. Most programs have application deadlines in October 2025 for funding periods beginning in 2026.
