DAAD-Short-term scholarships for master's degree students

The DAAD Short-term Scholarship for Master's Degree Students is designed to enable Chinese students to become acquainted with the German university and research landscape and help them establish contact with potential supervisors for subsequent doctoral degrees. This scholarship funds a research visit as part of the Master's thesis at a state or state-recognised German university or non-university research institute. The program provides monthly scholarship payments of 992 euros, travel allowances, and comprehensive insurance coverage. Chinese graduates from all disciplines who are enrolled in a full-time Master's degree course and have completed at least two semesters are eligible to apply. The scholarship supports stays of 1-3 months (maximum 90 days) and requires coordination with a German academic supervisor who confirms supervision and indicates potential future doctoral supervision possibilities.
