DAAD/BECAS Chile

The DAAD/BECAS Chile programme provides funding for Chilean graduates to carry out research for a doctoral degree in Germany. This co-funded scholarship, supported by both ANID (Chilean National Agency for Research and Development) and DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service), enables doctoral studies at German universities and, where appropriate, in conjunction with non-university research institutions. The programme offers comprehensive support including language courses, monthly scholarship payments, travel costs, insurance, and family allowances. Grants are awarded initially for one year and can be extended up to 48 months total, with extensions subject to review by the DAAD selection committee. The scholarship is designed to support academic excellence and facilitate international research collaboration between Chile and Germany.
