Dan Echols Memorial Scholarship

The Dan Echols Memorial Scholarship is awarded to students enrolled at Tarrant County College who are pursuing an associate degree or certificate of completion in graphic communication, journalism, or radio/television broadcasting. The scholarship supports students who demonstrate academic achievement with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and commitment to their field of study by enrolling in at least 6 credit hours of relevant coursework per semester. Preference is given to applicants who meet federal or state guidelines for financial need. This renewable scholarship provides up to four semesters of funding for eligible students who maintain satisfactory academic progress. The award supports students' educational goals in communications and media-related fields, helping to reduce financial barriers to completing their degree or certificate programs at Tarrant County College.
