About This Opportunity

The Dan Watt Scholarship is funded by an endowment bequeathed to the University of Waterloo by Daniel G. Watt, a member of the University's Laurel Society, which recognizes individuals who make planned gifts to the University. Interest from the endowment funds these scholarships, which are awarded annually to students with the highest averages entering the University of Waterloo's Department of History graduate program. The Department Graduate Studies Committee makes the selection, and the number of scholarships awarded depends on the interest earned on the endowment. The award provides $1,500 and is available to both master's and doctoral students in History. Students are selected automatically by the Faculty and Department without requiring a separate application.
