The Dana Morimoto Memorial Entrance Leadership Scholarship is awarded to a student with superior academic achievement entering the first year of any undergraduate degree program at the University of Alberta. Selection is based on admission average and on demonstrated involvement in extracurricular activities and community leadership. Preference is given to a student who has graduated from an Alberta high school located north of metropolitan Edmonton and/or who is a Métis person of Canada in accordance with the Constitution Act, 1982, Part 2, Section 35(2). This scholarship was endowed by Kim Morimoto (BA 1963) and Tom Morimoto (BSc Eng 1949 and 1952) in memory of their son Dana Morimoto.
