About this opportunity
The Daniel Cooper Postgraduate Research Scholarship provides financial assistance to PhD students undertaking research in Classical Literature at the University of Sydney. This scholarship has been established through a donation from Daniel Cooper to support doctoral candidates who are conducting research into Classical Literature within the School of Humanities. The scholarship provides a stipend allowance equivalent to the University of Sydney Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend rate for up to 3.5 years for full-time recipients, subject to satisfactory academic performance. Recipients must hold an honours degree (First Class or Second Class Upper), a masters degree with a substantial research component, or an equivalent degree in Classics and Ancient History or a related field. The successful applicant will be selected based on academic merit, area of study and/or research proposal, references from two academic referees, a curriculum vitae demonstrating previous research experience, and a personal statement addressing the proposed area of research and the applicant's interest and experience in teaching.
