Darcy Tailfeathers Memorial Award in Medicine

The Darcy Tailfeathers Memorial Award in Medicine is awarded to students who are First Nation, Inuit, or Métis people of Canada in accordance with the Constitution Act, 1982, Part 2, Section 35(2) entering or enrolled in any year of the Doctor of Medicine degree. Selection is based on academic achievement, involvement in the Indigenous community, personal and leadership qualities and demonstrated athletic ability. This award recognizes Indigenous students who demonstrate excellence across multiple dimensions including academics, community engagement, leadership, and athletics while pursuing medical education at the University of Alberta.
