Darren Zenko Memorial Prize in Creative Writing

The Darren Zenko Memorial Prize in Creative Writing is awarded to students with satisfactory academic standing who have completed WRITE course(s) in fiction, creative non-fiction, or poetry with superior academic achievement in these courses. Selection is based on the quality of work demonstrated in WRITE courses and demonstrated potential to excel in the Emerging Writers Intensive Program at Banff Centre or another similar program. Both part-time and full-time students are eligible for this award. This is an endowed fund established by Jason Kapalka through the Faculty of Arts at the University of Alberta.
