About this opportunity
The Daryl Guignion and Ian MacQuarrie Graduate Scholarship in Science is awarded annually to a first-year student enrolled in the Master of Science (M.Sc.) program at the University of Prince Edward Island. This scholarship specifically supports students who will conduct research programs focused on ecology and the status of natural habitats and/or native wildlife. The research must contribute to the maintenance of viable populations of native wild flora and fauna, the establishment of protected areas, or programs to prevent alien and living modified organisms from adversely affecting native biodiversity. The scholarship recognizes the importance of ecological conservation and biodiversity protection in scientific research.
