About This Opportunity

The Data61 PhD Scholarship is offered by CSIRO's Data61 to support doctoral research that impacts a wide range of industries including smart cities, data-driven health and social services, digital economy, safety and security, and digital government. The scholarship is open to both domestic and international students who have already applied for or commenced a PhD research program at RMIT University. Successful applicants must work with a Data61-employed researcher as part of their supervisory panel and conduct research aligned with Data61's research programs or business development teams. The scholarship comprises either a full stipend equivalent to the Research Training Program base rate or a top-up scholarship of $10,000-$15,000 per annum for students already holding other scholarships. Awards are made for up to 3.5 years based on merit rather than quota, and students must agree to assign intellectual property developed within the PhD project to Data61.
