Dave C. Swalm - Brookhaven Scholarship

The Dave C. Swalm - Brookhaven Scholarship is awarded to entering freshmen who are graduates of Brookhaven High School (20 recipients) and Brookhaven Academy (5 recipients). Students who attended Mississippi School of Math and Science and have a permanent residence in Brookhaven may also be considered. This scholarship is major-specific and supports students pursuing technical degrees in fields such as engineering, computer science, architecture, physics, data science, cybersecurity, veterinary medical technology, and related disciplines. The scholarship provides $10,000 per year for up to four years (8 semesters), totaling $40,000. Recipients must maintain a minimum overall college GPA of 3.0 and continuous full-time enrollment in one of the qualifying majors. Financial need is a consideration in the selection process. If additional funding is available, students in additional majors including Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Chemistry, Geographic Information Systems, Business Information Systems, and Information Technology Services may also be considered.
