David Ebbs Memorial Scholarship

The David Ebbs Memorial Scholarship has been established to honour the life and enduring legacy of Dr David Ebbs, a cherished member of the Ballarat community, former PhD student, accomplished researcher, and engaging lecturer at Federation University. David was a popular and respected colleague who made an immeasurable contribution to the university and community. Beyond his academic achievements, David was deeply committed to the local community, serving as Vice President of the Ballarat Tennis Association, a long-serving volunteer with the Hardies Hill CFA brigade, and an active member of the Garibaldi Landcare group. This scholarship honours David's commitment to education and scientific inquiry in the broad areas of engineering, water, and environmental sustainability. The scholarship provides $5,000 to support continuing domestic students pursuing Higher Degree by Research at Federation University Australia.
