David Haymes Scholarship

The David Haymes Scholarship has been established by the family of David Haymes in recognition of his passion for Ballarat, for Federation University and lifelong learning. David Haymes was a prominent business leader who served as Chair of the Haymes Board and was deeply involved in community service throughout his life. He had a strong connection to Federation University as a member of the University's Council and Chair of the School of Business Advisory Board, and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in 2002 for his outstanding service to small business and the region. This scholarship honors his legacy and commitment to education. The scholarship is valued at $3,000 and is available to domestic students pursuing Bachelor or Honours degrees at the Ballarat campus. It supports both continuing and new/commencing students in higher education, with one scholarship available annually.
