David M Bohr Memorial Baseball Scholarship

The David M Bohr Memorial Baseball scholarship fund was established at the Community Foundation of NCW by memorial gifts made to honor David M Bohr. David was a long-time Wenatchee attorney and judge pro-term in Chelan who led many youth activities throughout the Wenatchee Valley, with baseball being his true love. He spent sixteen years coaching and serving on the board of Wenatchee Youth Baseball and served as an assistant coach for Wenatchee Babe Ruth Baseball, serving as President until 2002. This scholarship, in David's memory, supports a graduating senior from Wenatchee, Eastmont, Cashmere, Leavenworth or Waterville High School, with special emphasis on a student who participated in baseball. The scholarship is designed to help students pursuing further education at an accredited educational program in the United States. Eligible applicants must be graduating seniors from one of the five designated high schools, have participated in baseball, maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA, and demonstrate financial need. The scholarship supports students who embody David Bohr's passion for baseball and commitment to youth development in the North Central Washington region.
