David Nason Journalism Scholarship

The David Nason Journalism Scholarship was created in honor of David Nason, an Australian news, print and TV journalist covering stories as varied as sports, politics and war time coverage. The scholarship supports Australian journalism students or practicing journalists pursuing opportunities in the United States. The scholarship provides up to $20,000 USD to support travel, living, tuition, or other associated educational or project costs. It is designed to either support an Australian digital, print, broadcast or multimedia journalism student to undertake graduate level study at an accredited US educational institution for a minimum of one year, or to support an Australian journalist with 5-7 years of work experience to undertake an investigative project with a media outlet in the US. This scholarship may be used in conjunction with other sources of funding.
