David Sardella Incentive Track Scholarship

The David Sardella Incentive Track Scholarship is awarded to freshman or senior track and field athletes at Eastern Illinois University who do not receive any other athletic scholarships. The scholarship is designed to incentivize achievement and success in track and field athletics. Recipients must be full-time students carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours and maintain a 2.5 GPA while remaining academically and athletically eligible. For freshman recipients, preference is given to students who demonstrate the greatest potential for success in track and field. Senior recipients must demonstrate commitment to the track and field program, have had a positive impact on team culture, and display integrity. Financial need may be considered at the discretion of the Selection Committee. The award is announced in the spring and disbursed half in the following Fall semester and half in the following Spring semester. Recipients may only receive this scholarship once.
