About this opportunity
The David Squires Foundation provides annual scholarships to Canadian students pursuing full-time information technology programs at universities or colleges. Established in 1994 to honor David L. Squires, a respected staff member of Memorial University of Newfoundland and member of the Data Processing Management Association (DPMA), the Foundation carries on his legacy of supporting students' success. The Foundation was incorporated to promote excellence in the study of informatics, conduct or sponsor research in informatics education, and sponsor informatics educational offerings to the public. Each year, scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate significant financial need, have successfully completed at least two full semesters in their IT program, and have reached a high level of scholastic achievement. Past scholarship amounts have ranged from $500 to $1200 per award.
