David Thompson Health Region Medical Staff Organization Award

The David Thompson Health Region Medical Staff Organization Award is a scholarship established in memory of Dr. Richard Merrian, a Radiologist in Red Deer from 1960-1969. This award recognizes academic achievement for students in the Bachelor of Science Pre-Medicine program at Red Deer Polytechnic. The scholarship provides financial support to deserving students who demonstrate excellence in their pre-medical studies and are committed to continuing their education in the healthcare field. Recipients are automatically considered through the General Application process.
