The David Thomson Scholarship for Accounting provides financial support for commencing Bachelor of Accounting students from rural or regional areas who are moving to Melbourne to attend RMIT University. This scholarship provides up to $12,500 per year for up to four years, with a total value of up to $50,000. The scholarship is established in memory of David Thomson, who grew up in regional Victoria, studied accounting at RMIT, and became a founding partner at Pitcher Partners where he served for nearly 30 years. The scholarship reflects his lifelong commitment to nurturing talent and supporting others in achieving their potential. Recipients must maintain subjects required to enter the Chartered Accountants Program and be willing to participate in or apply for the Pitcher Partners internship or graduate program.
