About This Opportunity

The David W Johnson MySydney Scholarship provides financial support to domestic students from low socioeconomic backgrounds pursuing business undergraduate degrees at the University of Sydney. The scholarship provides a cash stipend valued at $8,500 per annum for the duration of the business undergraduate degree, including combined undergraduate degrees, up to a maximum of 5 years. The purpose of this scholarship is to address the educational disadvantage experienced by people living in areas affected by socio-economic disadvantage, by facilitating and supporting their participation in University of Sydney business courses. Recipients must have applied for admission through UAC and resided in an area listed in the bottom 25 percent of the Australian Bureau of Statistics Socio-Economic Index for Areas (SEIFA) Index of Education and Occupation (IEO). In addition to the cash stipend, recipients receive support through the transition program, annual USU Rewards Membership, access to the Vice Chancellor's Global Mobility Award valued up to $5,000, eligibility for additional accommodation scholarships, and access to an alumni and industry mentoring program in their final year of study.
