Davis Family Scholarship

The Davis Family Scholarship was established by and in honor of Dr. Perry Davis '71, Paula Bielski Davis '73 and Maribeth Davis Haynes '99 to provide funds to a Westfield State University student in their Junior or Senior year who plan on pursuing a career as a classroom teacher. Applicants must be majoring in early childhood education, history or art. The scholarship specifically supports students committed to entering the teaching profession at the classroom level. Applicants are required to request a recommendation from a faculty member in the education department verifying their desire to become a classroom teacher and must submit an essay explaining their motivation to pursue a teaching career. This scholarship honors the Davis family's commitment to supporting future educators and ensuring quality classroom instruction.
