Dean Wirasinghe Scholarship in Engineering

The Dean Wirasinghe Scholarship in Engineering is an academic merit-based award for top students entering their first year in the Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary. The scholarship is awarded to students who are receiving a Seymour Schulich Academic Excellence Entrance Scholarship. Established by the Wirasinghe family and friends, this scholarship recognizes outstanding academic achievement among incoming engineering students. In the event of a tie between eligible candidates, preference is given to the student whose home is farthest from the university, acknowledging the additional challenges faced by students relocating from distant locations to pursue their engineering education.
