About this opportunity
The Dean's International Study Scholarship was established by J. Michael Kelly, former dean of the College of Natural Resources, and his wife, Candi, in recognition of the value of international experiences for young people. This scholarship is awarded to students in the College of Natural Resources and Environment (CNRE) at Virginia Tech who have a minimum GPA of 2.0. The scholarship supports students who plan to participate in study abroad programs during winter, spring, summer, or fall terms. The scholarship has two application periods: Round 1 runs from October 1 to November 1 for winter and spring programs, and Round 2 runs from February 1 to March 1 for summer and fall programs. Applicants must demonstrate their study abroad plans, explain why they wish to study abroad, and articulate what they hope to gain from their international study experience. The scholarship amount varies based on available funding and individual student needs.
