About this opportunity
The Dean's Non-Resident Student Scholarship - Spring Start provides financial support to incoming graduate students at the Lubar College of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. This scholarship is designed for full-time, non-resident students enrolled in one of the college's master's programs, including MBA or MS programs (excluding EMBA). The scholarship provides $2,500 in support to help offset educational costs for qualifying students.
Recipients must be full-time graduate students with non-resident status, meaning they are paying out-of-state tuition rates. Students enrolled in the Executive MBA program are not eligible for this award. An important requirement is that recipients may not simultaneously hold any form of assistantship, athletic scholarship, or equivalent funding during the scholarship period.
To receive the second semester award, students must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 throughout their studies. This performance requirement ensures that scholarship recipients remain in good academic standing. The scholarship is administered through the Lubar College of Business Graduate Student Scholarships program.
The application deadline for this scholarship is February 1, 2026, and prospective applicants should submit their materials through the UW-Milwaukee Panther Scholarship Portal before this date.
