About This Opportunity

This scholarship covers 100% of tuition fees for up to two years for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students pursuing a Master of Art Therapy at Western Sydney University. Western Sydney Local Health District is committed to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to further develop their skills in Allied Health, as they are under-represented in the workforce. As a major employer in health and Western Sydney, they provide this opportunity for an Indigenous person to undertake the Masters of Art Therapy. As a healthcare provider, they recognise and understand the impacts that intergenerational trauma have played and continue to play in the community. They believe that providing these opportunities will assist in this pathway to improve the visual arts for Indigenous people.
