About This Opportunity

The Deirdre Hall Scholarship for Musically Talented Flute Students is a $5,000 per annum undergraduate scholarship established in 2023 to assist students studying the flute at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music at the University of Sydney. The scholarship is specifically designed to support students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds who are pursuing full-time undergraduate degrees. The scholarship is awarded based on a personal statement and demonstrated evidence of financial disadvantage, as determined by the Dean of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Recipients must maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 65 each semester to continue receiving the scholarship. The annual payment is made in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester, and the scholarship duration is determined by the Dean and stipulated in the offer letter.
