Delta Kappa Gamma Scholarship

The Delta Kappa Gamma Scholarship is awarded in the fall semester of the Bachelor of Education program to a student who demonstrates exceptional teaching competence and strong interpersonal skills with students. Recipients must have achieved high academic standing and show dedication to international or cross-cultural issues. The scholarship is intended for students who are not already receiving another major donor-funded scholarship. The award alternates annually between students in the international specialization and those following the standard Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Education French program. The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International is a professional honorary society of women educators established in 1929 with an international mandate to support women in education. The Prince Edward Island IOTA chapter was established in 1984 and promotes professional and personal growth of its members while supporting excellence in education. This scholarship reflects the organization's commitment to assisting and supporting women educators at all levels of their professional journey.
