Demos

Demos exists to build networks and enable meetings between civil society organizations in the Nordic region. A strong and vital civil society is a cornerstone of Nordic democracy, and the support program promotes Nordic civil society actors' ability to collaborate, influence and strengthen their voice. The collaboration contributes to the Nordic region developing into the world's most sustainable and integrated region by 2030. Demos supports projects and networks where civil society meets, makes contacts and collaborates. Support can be granted for most forms of collaborative projects within all societal areas. Only civil society organizations can apply for support. Projects can include joint collaborations, meetings, concerts, conferences, workshops, staff exchanges, products and the arrangement of courses/training sessions, sharing resources and competencies for advocacy efforts, facilitation and exchange of ideas and knowledge between different civil society organizations in the Nordic region, and operational costs as long as these relate to the project.
