About This Opportunity

Demos is a funding programme that aims to establish networks and facilitate meetings between civil society organisations in the Nordic countries. The programme promotes the ability of stakeholders in Nordic civil society to work together, influence, and strengthen their voice. A strong and dynamic civil society is a cornerstone of Nordic democracy, and the partnerships will help the Nordic Region become the most sustainable and integrated region in the world by 2030. The programme funds Nordic projects and networks that enable stakeholders in civil society to meet, forge contacts, and work together. Funding can be granted for most forms of collaborative projects in all areas of society, including joint collaborations, concerts, meetings, conferences, workshops, staff exchanges, products, courses, training, and the facilitation and exchange of ideas and knowledge between different civil society organisations. Applications are assessed based on long-term perspective and new collaborations, Nordic added value, contribution to Vision 2030, and consideration of sustainable development, gender equality, and children's rights and youth perspectives. Projects must involve at least three different Nordic countries (Denmark, Faroe Islands, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, or Åland) and be implemented by nonprofit civil society organisations with democratic structures.
