About this opportunity

Den kulturelle spaserstokken i Agder (DKSS) is a regional government support program designed to provide elderly citizens better access to arts and culture while facilitating increased collaboration between the cultural and care sectors. The program distributes funds to municipalities in the Agder region based on the number of residents over 70 years of age, with a guaranteed minimum amount for each municipality. For 2025, NOK 1,861,000 has been allocated to the program. The funds must be used for professional arts and cultural programming across all genres and forms of expression, providing elderly people with tailored cultural offerings in arenas where they spend their daily lives. Strong collaboration between culture and care sectors within municipalities is essential in developing and delivering these programs. Activities may be delivered in partnership with arts and cultural institutions, artists, and other cultural actors at local or regional levels. Only municipalities in Agder are eligible to receive funding. Municipalities that receive funds commit to providing cultural programming under Den kulturelle spaserstokken and to submit reports on their activities.
