About this opportunity

Den kulturelle spaserstokken (DKSS) is a grant program that aims to contribute to a better and more comprehensive offering of art and culture for residents aged 67 and older in Finnmark county, Norway. Only municipalities can apply for this funding program, which requires a minimum of 20% co-financing from the applicant. The program focuses on providing professional art and culture of high quality, offering events and activities across all forms of artistic and cultural expression. The cultural offerings should be adapted to venues where the target group is present in their daily lives, promoting increased collaboration between the cultural sector and the care sector to develop good art and culture projects locally with a diversity of genres and expressions. The funding does not support investments, equipment, catering, transportation, administration, employee salaries, planning, or competence development. The work must be anchored in the municipality's plans and organization for efforts targeting elderly residents. The grant is meant to supplement, not replace, existing municipal support for established or planned initiatives that already have secured financing.
