About this opportunity
The Department of Philosophy PGR Financial Hardship Fund provides financial assistance to postgraduate research students in the Department of Philosophy at the University of St Andrews who are experiencing financial need. A payment of up to £3,000 will be made based on assessment of the application and demonstrated financial need. This one-off payment is available to current postgraduate research students who have not received a University or UKRI-related stipend and receive annual funding less than £19,237 from external sources. The fund aims to support students in financial hardship who are studying either full-time or part-time at the postgraduate research level. Applications are assessed by the Department of Philosophy Postgraduate Committee, which allocates awards based on the information provided by applicants. Exemptions from standard criteria may be considered in exceptional and well-motivated circumstances.
