DHET Presidential PhD Programme

The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) in South Africa offers the Presidential PhD Programme through its DHET international scholarships programme, to support South African students seeking PhD opportunities abroad. This scholarship is available to prospective students from South Africa who wish to pursue full-time postgraduate research at institutions outside of South Africa, including the University of St Andrews. The programme aims to enable talented South African students to access high-quality doctoral education at international institutions.
