Diabetesarbeid

Helsedirektoratet has continued a grant program for diabetes work that was established in 2023. The main goal is prevention of type 2 diabetes, better treatment and prevention of complications for all types of diabetes, and increased mastery and quality of life. The grant program supports initiatives that must primarily be aimed at patients with diabetes or those at high risk of diabetes across the country, in a health region, or a larger area in the form of project piloting with potential for national dissemination. Standard municipal initiatives such as hiring health personnel in lifestyle centers or at medical centers to provide better services to people with diabetes in the municipality will not be prioritized.
