Dialysis Australia Nursing Scholarship

The Dialysis Australia Nursing Scholarship was established in 2023 to provide assistance to students studying an undergraduate degree within the University of Sydney Susan Wakil School of Nursing and Midwifery who can demonstrate financial need or financial or social disadvantage. The scholarship supports students from low socio-economic areas pursuing nursing education at the undergraduate level. The scholarship provides comprehensive support including both a cash stipend and accommodation assistance for up to three years. Recipients receive $8,500 per annum as a cash payment distributed in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester, along with $24,000 per annum for accommodation at a college or student residence of or associated with the University of Sydney. To maintain the scholarship, recipients must maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 50 each semester and remain enrolled full-time in their undergraduate nursing degree. The scholarship is awarded based on a personal statement, evidence of financial need, proof of low socio-economic background, and an interview process. This scholarship has been awarded and is no longer being offered for new applications.
