Digitalt Kulturkort

Digitalt kulturkort is a pilot project by Bydel Frogner (Frogner District) in Oslo aimed at reducing social inequalities by providing cultural experiences to children and youth from low-income families. The program offers digital tickets to cultural events for children and young people aged 6-18 years in the local area. Through partnerships with local cultural organizations, the initiative ensures that all children, regardless of economic situation, have the opportunity to participate in events and experiences. The cultural card is a supplement to the existing subsidy scheme 'tilskudd til fritidsaktiviteter' (support for leisure activities). Case workers in Bydel Frogner distribute digital tickets that give low-income families the opportunity to reserve free tickets to activities such as museums, trampoline parks, climbing parks, cinemas, and much more. The district has identified 387 children and youth in families with persistent low income, and this number is likely higher today. By providing access to cultural experiences, the program aims to contribute to community, joy, and learning for all children in the district.
