Discover University of Alberta Award - Renewable

Awarded to students who are Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents or protected persons with satisfactory academic standing entering the first year of an undergraduate degree at the University of Alberta. Selection is based on academic standing, indicated financial need, and demonstrated financial barriers to attending university. This award is renewable for up to five years subject to satisfactory academic standing on a full-time course load between the most recent September to August annually. Through the program, students will be considered for up to $8,000 CAD per year in award funding, with up to 30 new students per year qualifying for the award. The application requires students to reflect on their life circumstances, housing situation, food security, financial plans for university, access to technology, educational goals, challenges in pursuing education, and post-graduation plans.
