About this opportunity
The Distinguished Professor Programme aims to create conditions for the most prominent researchers to conduct long-term, pioneering research with great potential to achieve scientific breakthroughs. The grant shall also enable the establishment and development of a larger research environment of the highest quality around a leading researcher. This funding opportunity is open to individual researchers who have held a doctoral degree for more than 12 years and focuses on research within medicine and health. The grant provides 4,000,000 SEK per year for 8 years to support all types of project-related costs including salaries, facilities, operational costs, and depreciation costs. One grant may be devoted to a researcher active in virus and pandemic research.

Review process
